Use your time wisely.....

"Yesterday it was the 6th of August 1965, It was the 58th year for this temporary, ever-changing dukh-roop body. Now the 59th year has started. But in reality (my soul) I was not born and I will not die, and I do not have an age.
For however long I was mistaken and believed myself to be a body and not a soul, for that time my mind suffered and was not at peace. I believed that I was once born and that I would die. But since GuruSahib has done kirpa, I have recognised my true form. I have risen above this temporary body.
For this reason, only our bodies age, not our souls.
Peace and non-peace are states of the mind. But the soul is just observing ..Just as if there are two pictures on a piece of paper; one of a standing horse and one of a running horse - the paper shows both pictures. In the same way the soul is forever achal. The soul is detached from all of this."
When we realise this, alot of things go out of the window, and life feels alot more care-free.
Its not easy of course, but I read somewhere once that 'We are not seeking a ‘better’ state. We are just coming back to our own self. That in itself is an improvement over living in confusion. All we need to concern ourselves is the return, keeping attention here and now. Everything else will come on its own"
Hopefully Gurusahib gives us the ability to use our time wisely.

A small clay pot lying on the earth(made from same earth) will consider itself seperate and think that it is just a pot. But when it realises its actually a part of the earth, the illusion ends. From a mere clay pot, it becomes the great the Earth.
A son sat at his father's deathbed. He asked his father for some words of wisdom before he died. The father replied, 'I have so much to say, but I do not have enough breaths to say it all in. Go to the market and buy me some breaths, just a lil more time, and I'll tell you'. The son replied, thats madness, you can't buy breaths. The father replied, 'Exactly, those are my words of wisdom'

Glimpse of Vaheguru
Glimpse (of Vaheguru) is a grace, that is with the guru. It is not not in our hands. We are like beggers. We should remain in prayer, we should remain in hope and we should remain in longing. Giving is in the hands of the gracious guru. We can only live in hope as beggers. A begger should not be in despair. He should not be in pride. He should not assert a right. He should not have ego. He should not think that he must get, but he should not lose faith. He should hope that sometime or the other that the grace will come, remain in hope, keep on expecting.
