Happy Mother's Day x

Vaheguru Jee Ka Khalsa
Vaheguru Jee Ki Fateh

Happy Mother's Day to all the strong, powerful, beautiful mothers who continue to shower their children with unconditional love. YOU are the foundation, the roots of this beautiful faith and we pray that you continue to cement your children with naam, seva, simran and sangat.

The biggest gratitude is to our most beautiful spiritual mother Dhan Dhan Mata Sahib Kaur Jee who is always with us. Please watch Nirvair Khalsa Jatha talking about our beautiful mother and the strength of a mother: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qB2Fp7djHhI&feature=share&list=UU_4_8CPpmCJl66BMi7EacQQ

A nice Mother's Day gift Dhan Dhan Mata Sahib Kaur Ji by Gurbinder Kaur and Blu Movement available on Amazon and I tunes.

Friday was International Women's Day and today is Mother's Day so we would like to continue with #8things encouraging the sangat to complete 8 acts of kindness for the women in their lives. Accordingly, Kaurageous Leicester would like the sangat to help us support Women's Aid Leicestershire. 1 in 4 women are victims of domestic violence and 1 in 30 repeatedly so. Organisations such as Women's Aid provide a great services such as refuges whereby women and children have a safe haven (information leaflets attached). To support our mothers, sisters and daughters in these refuges we need the sangat's support in donating NEW flat or fitted sheets, pillow cases, duvets and duvet covers (all of our beds are single or cots) for these valuable refuges. Any of these donations would be gratefully received. Please bring any donations to Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib Jee Gurdwara, 48 Kenilworth Drive, Oadby LE2 5LG on Friday 22nd March 2013 from 6-8pm (in the langar hall). Please do share the attached poster with your mailing lists etc.
